The Nigerian Senate on Friday, June 23, 2017 told Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works, housing, and power, to stop spreading wrong information and half-truth about the 2017 budget as the legislators worked to ensure equity across the country on all new and outstanding projects. In an e-mailed statement to The Trent by its spokesperson, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the Senate noted that Mr. Fashola did not give the public full details about the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, which has been on a private finance initiative from the beginning because he would prefer an arrangement that allows the ministry to continue to award contracts and fund the project through government budgetary allocation at a time when the nation’s revenue is dwindling and at an all time low. Joseph Prince Daily Grace Inspiration: Look To The Word, Not Natural Facts

Daily Grace Inspiration is a devotional that brings you the message of grace from Joseph Prince, the world celebrated TV preacher and pastor. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived. – Numbers 21:9 “Pastor Prince, I know that God is my healer. But why is this sickness and pain still in my body?” If you have been looking at your sickness and pain all this while, stop looking at yourself and start looking at Jesus. Did He or did He not take upon Himself your sickness and pain? God’s Word declares, “Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, and our pains—he hath carried them…” (Isaiah 53:4, YLT) Since Jesus has already taken your sickness and pain at the cross, then He cannot “untake” them. Even if you find it hard to believe that Jesus has paid for your healing, especially when the pain is unbearable, the truth is that it is still paid for. It is a finished work! God is not say...

Femi Fani-Kayode: To Those Who Threaten To Jail Biafrans [MUST READ]

A man called Nnamdi Kanu and his movement called the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) single-handedly brings the whole of the south-east of our country to a standstill with his one day “stay at home order” and someone in the Presidency says they don’t consider him to be a leader of thought? Clearly the Villa curse has set in. Delusion is a terrible affliction and treating those that have won the hearts and minds of millions of Igbo youth in our country with contempt and disdain will prove to be a costly mistake for the Buhari administration. This is all the more so because those that are expressing their desire and agitating for Biafra have broken no law. They have not killed or threatened to kill anyone, they are not waging war on the Nigerian state, they are not involved in any form of rebellion and they are not undertaking an armed struggle. They are simply exercising their inalienable and undeniable constitutional right of free speech, freedom of association and self-determi...

Femi Fani-Kayode Gives Excellent Reply To Pastor’s Doomsday Prophecy [MUST READ]

I received a strange word from Pastor Moshood Ifayemiwo, which I share below. After it, is my response to him. “I have never met Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode in my life, but have read some of his write-up in the papers. “There are some of his views I do not share, but at times reason with some of his cogitation. “I saw his immediate political future recently, but I am sad to report that his star may dim so soon, if he doesn’t pray and change course. Here is what the Holy Spirit is telling us to tell Mr. Fani-Kayode: “After the death of Saul, David returned from striking down the Amalekites and stayed in Ziklag two days. “On the third day, a man arrived from Saul’s camp with his clothes torn and dust on his head. When he came to David, he fell to the ground to pay him honor. “Where have you come from?” “David asked him. He answered, ‘I have escaped from the Israelite camp.’ ‘What happened?’ David asked. ‘Tell me.’ ‘The men fled from the battle,’ he replied. ‘Many of them fell and died....

Again, Fayose Defeats EFCC At Appeal Court

The Appeal Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 dismissed the application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for injunction restraining the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose from operating his accounts in Zenith Bank Plc, describing the application as lacking in merit. The Appeal Court said that; “EFCC did not come with clean hands on the application for injunction it filed because it suppressed material facts, for example that a similar application the EFCC filed was earlier refused by Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti,” agreeing with Governor Fayose’s Counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) that the entire application filed by the EFCC counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo was entirely unmeritorious. On December 13, 2016, Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti had ordered the EFCC to immediately unfreeze the accounts of Governor Fayose, saying the action of the EFCC was against due process and that the anti-graft a...
