2020: There’ll Be Change Of Government, Disasters, Battles – Pastor Adeboye Releases Prophecies

Image
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, has released prophecies for the year 2020. The revered cleric listed incidents that would happen in the New Year, during the cross over service at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. Pastor Adeboye said that 2020 is going to be a year of series of joy and series of victory. He, however, warned that there will be a year of series of battles. Pastor Adeboye called on Nigerians to pray for the nation, while announcing the annual RCCG fasting and prayers will begin January 11. On the international scene, the clergyman said earthquakes and volcanoes will erupt. This, he claimed, is as a result of an increase in sin. In his words,  “sin is becoming more rampant.” The RCCG General Overseer also prophesied that there will be change of government all around the world. According to him, some will be peaceful, while others won’t.  from 9jaflaver https://ift.tt/2rJnMIu via IFTTT h

Governor Wike insists Rivers is A ‘Christian State’

Image
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has again insisted that Rivers remains a Christian state. Wike stated this at the special annual thanksgiving service by the Apara Committee of Friends, at the St. Silas Anglican Church, Eneka in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state. Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Chukwuemeka Woke, the governor made it clear that no level of intimidation or negative propaganda will make him change the declaration. “Let me say that the governor will not change his decision, no matter the level of intimidation and criticism about his declaration that Rivers State is a Christian state. “The reason is very simple. As a son and governor of Rivers State, he has the right and the authority to declare that the state has seen God’s goodness, mercy and compassion. So, there are no alternatives to the declaration. “That is why he will continue to worship God and declare Rivers, a Christian state,” he said.  from 9jaflaver https://ift.tt/35eCgOr via

Mourinho Reveals Tottenham Players That Are Frustrated

Image
Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho, has claimed his attacking players must be “very frustrated”, by how the team are conceding goals. Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by Norwich City on Saturday. Since Mourinho’s arrival in November, Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in eight Premier League matches. While they have scored 18 goals, the North London side have conceded 12. “The problem is the way we concede goals. “We went to Manchester United and the first goal is a bad one to concede. “We react, we equalise but then we concede a ridiculous goal. That is the problem. We have to improve. We concede too many goals and it is very frustrating. “If I was one of my attacking players, I would be very frustrated that behind we are not able to stop it,”  Mourinho said according to Sky Sports.  from 9jaflaver https://ift.tt/2QebnFV via IFTTT https://ift.tt/2SKTyzY

525 Kidnap Victims Regain Freedom In Zamfara

Image
No fewer than 525 kidnap victims have regained their freedom from their abductors in Zamfara State. The state Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran, disclosed this when members of the state Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) paid him a congratulatory visit in his office. He explained that the unconditional release of the kidnap victims followed the peace and reconciliation initiative introduced by governor Bello Matawalle about five months ago. “This peace initiative has seen the safe return of all the 525 kidnap to their loved ones and it has also facilitated the return of hundreds of displaced persons to their respective communities in the last five months. “It is as a result of the successes of the Matawalle-led administration in the area of security in the state that is making our neighbouring states to contact Gov. Matawalle, so that they can copy and overcome their security challenges,”  he said. The commissioner sai

President Buhari’s New Year Message To Nigerians

Image
Today marks a new decade. It is a time of hope, optimism and fresh possibilities. We look forward as a nation to the 2020s as the opportunity to build on the foundations we have laid together on security, diversification of our economy and taking on the curse of corruption. These are the pledges on which I have been twice elected President and remain the framework for a stable, sustainable and more prosperous future. Elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. I salute the commitment of the millions who voted in peace last February and of those leaders who contested for office vigorously but fairly, submitting to the authority of the electorate, the Independent National Electoral Commission and judicial process. I understand very well the frustrations our system has in the past triggered. I will be standing down in 2023 and will not be available in any future elections. But I am determined to help strengthen the electoral process both in Nigeria and across the region, where seve

How Shehu Sani Got Into Trouble With EFCC Over Car Dealer’s $30,000

Image
Details of what brought former Kaduna State Senator and civil rights activist, Shehu Sani, into trouble with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and resulting in his Tuesday’s arrest and detention, emerged last night. Vanguard gathered that the vocal former lawmaker had reportedly used the name of the Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, to collect the sum of $30,000 from a popular car dealer in the state with an assurance to shield him and his company from any form of inquiry by the anti-graft agency. However, it was gathered that the cash payment soon became a source of anger between Shehu Sani and the car dealer and eventually drew the attention of Magu and EFCC. The former senator is also said to have declined to pick his calls or respond to text messages sent to him by the operatives of the anti-graft agency over the development. An operative said on Tuesday that it was on the basis of his refusal to honour previous invitations that they stormed his home and arres

Dadiyata: DSS Breaks Silence As Nigerian Govt Critic Remains Missing

Image
The Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to reports that the service is illegally detaining some Nigerians. DSS had been accused of keeping Abubakar Idris (aka Dadiyata), a strong critic on Federal and Kano state governments. DSS was also said to be holding over 50 suspects “under excruciating conditions and “routinely tortured”. Peter Afunanya, the spokesman of the service, in a statement on Tuesday, said that Dadiyata was taken away from his house by some armed men does not suggest that those men were DSS staff. “For the sake of emphasis, the service has no reason to deny its arrest and detention of suspects if actually it carried out operations during, which such persons were arrested. “It is not out of place for security and law enforcement agencies to arrest and detain law breakers or those suspected to be. The arrest and detention of suspects are procedural and undergo continuous review. “In certain conditions, some are routinely questioned and released while oth

Barcelona, Inter Milan Battle To Sign Aubameyang From Arsenal

Image
Inter Milan are ready to rival Barcelona for the signature of Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Serie A leaders are monitoring the Gabon striker’s situation, with the Gunners facing the reality of having to sell him in the summer. Aubameyang had pulled out of contract talks in November, with the 30-year-old eager to play in the Champions League again. That has alerted major clubs to his availability. There is every likelihood that Arsenal will sell Aubameyang and use the money to rebuild the squad. New boss, Mikel Arteta, is believed to have drawn up a list of transfer targets.  from 9jaflaver https://ift.tt/2MM7Kor via IFTTT https://ift.tt/2MM1PQn

Boko Haram: Nigeria Police To Replace Military In Fight Against Insurgency, Others By 2020

Image
The Federal Government has decided that the Nigeria Police Force will now takeover from the military in the ongoing internal security operations in various parts of the country by the first quarter of next year. The police has the primary responsibility of providing internal security and will assume its duties fully in such areas from next year. Consequently, the military will pull out from ongoing internal security operations in various parts of the country. This was part of the decisions reached yesterday when President Buhari presided over the Security Council meeting with Security chiefs and stakeholders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday. The Security Council, however, said that the military would first conduct a threat assessment to determine the specific areas where the troop withdrawal would cover. The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, gave the details shortly after the meeting while addressing State House correspondents. He said that the withdra
